We believe that by providing quality care that is both evidence-based and compassionate, we can empower individuals to take charge of their mental health and achieve their full potential. We are passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of those struggling with mental health issues and we strive to be a force for positive change in the field of mental healthcare.
About the Role
Rula’s mission is to make mental healthcare work for everyone. We provide an end-to-end telehealth experience that connects patients with therapists that accept their insurance and therapists with practice management capabilities and patient matching in a HIPAA-compliant environment. This role will lead 4-5 application development teams at Rula that build patient and provider experiences and integrate with key third-party software.
This role is an opportunity to join a small and growing company to lead a team on the journey of maturing our application and operating posture. You will bring your industry expertise from leading large teams or in more mature organizations to inspire and grow managers to execute against roadmap priorities, build for long-term stability, scale, and security, and grow to be good leaders themselves. You will lead engineering efforts to assess and improve third-party integrations to improve scale, security, and reliability. This is a leadership role managing managers and not a hands-on technical role. Success will be measured by the ability to lead through others, teaching leadership and stakeholder management principles, setting, measuring, and achieving technical and project goals. You will provide overall oversight for the projects within your domain, making appropriate risk-based tradeoff decisions and collaborating across other engineering leaders in the organization to drive the best overall outcomes for Rula.
This is still a small organization and as a result, a breadth of leadership ability is required to be successful. You will have a leadership voice across engineering and into parts of the business in areas related to application development and are expected to bring best practices in the areas of people, process, or technology to contribute to the broader success of the organization. You will use your excellent communication skills to effectively manage out and up in the organization on engineering and execution-related topics that drive effective decision making and keep stakeholders and partners informed. You will act as the primary leadership contact to third-party technical partners.
